I’m not sure about you, but this year seems to have passed me by! I guess opening a new store and going out on a limb trying new things will do that. We’ve had some real highs and some real lows this year as we’ve navigated this new adventure and I really want to say thank you for supporting us through it all.
We started the store with a bang with Toni’s “Sock it Up Princess” sock knitting class. It was such a favourite we had to schedule more. Kerry’s pattern making class almost caused a social media meltdown and we have been fully booked with the kids sewing classes Therese runs every fortnight since we opened. We’ve had some great guest teachers – Monica Andrews with her inspiring talk on sustainable textiles (while we knitted a picnic blanket using old sheets), Kate Mara with her Love your Overlocker Couse, Maru and the Laura Heine applique classes just to name a few. Launching our first Stitching Club – The Crochet Club – was a real highlight for us to and we can’t wait to see everyone’s progress along the way.
We’ve also had a few that didn’t quite land – a combination of us not getting information out in time and not really knowing whether what we were offering is what you were after. So, as we prepare the calendar for next year we would really love your ideas and that one course you keep dreaming about. Click here and have your say.
Despite it all we will continue to strive to create a special place that is just for you. One where when you enter our world (whether it be instore or online) and leave the stresses of the real world behind you. In that same vein we wish you all a wonderful and safe holiday season with your families and loved ones and we look forward to stitching with you in 2020.
PS. We have some wonderful gift ideas in store too. If you give someone a big hint we’ll make sure they end up with something special for you wrapped up under the tree!
